What the free backlink checker shows

What a link from the site is worth: the BV score of one new followed link, and what each kind of link it gives, A to D, would be worth.

Links to the site: how many websites link to it, how many of them with nofollow links, how many links in all, their average spam score from 0 to 100, how many IP addresses and subnets they come from, and where on the linking pages the links sit.

The site itself: how it links out, its traffic, its server and network, and its age, each with its source and date.

Everything else on record: its tech stack, page speed, social profiles, which AI crawlers its robots.txt lets in, and more — 194 datapoints in all.

The link counts come from a third-party backlink index, read once a month. They are counts, not a list of every page that links to the site. A site checked for the first time gets them within a day or two, once it has an authority rating.

A backlink is worth what the site it comes from can pass on, less the kind of link you can actually get there. Enter any website for its BV score: what one new followed link from it is worth in ranking benefit, in dollars — not what anyone charges for it — worked out by the same model bklink uses to value every link it audits.
